Mr. Cunnion has more than 35 years of international oilfield experience including executive management, land/offshore drilling, business development, well site operations, technical rig operations, project management, and supply chain management. Areas of significant work experience include the North Sea, Asia Pacific, Middle East, Mediterranean, West Africa, Europe, and the US Gulf of Mexico. Prior to joining Northern Offshore, Mr. Cunnion was Vice President - Technical with OES Oilfield Services. He also served as Director of Global Procurement for Weatherford International and had a 25-year career with GlobalSantaFe/ Santa Fe International. Mr. Cunnion began his oilfield career in 1981 with Santa Fe and worked in positions of increasing responsibility including Driller, Toolpusher, Rig Manager, Rig Upgrade Project Manager, Technical Operations Manager, Rig Operations Manager and Managing Director. Mr. Cunnion's experience includes land rigs, jackups, semisubmersible rigs and DP drill ships. Mr. Cunnion holds an associate’s degree of Applied Science – Petroleum Technology from Eastern New Mexico University and is a graduate of the SMU Cox School of Business – Financial Discipline for Oilfield Executives. He is also a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and currently serves as the Chairman of the IADC Southern Arabian Peninsula Chapter (SAPC).
