Clay CoanPresident

Mr. Coan has over 20 years of experience in the drilling industry including roles in Operations, QHSE, HR, Marketing and Business Development. Prior to joining Northern Offshore, Mr. Coan had an 18 year career with GlobalSantaFe/ Transocean. He began his career with Global Marine in 1998 and worked offshore in a rig-based assignment for 6 years prior to moving into a shore-based management position. Mr. Coan worked in areas of increasing responsibility including Rig Manager, Operations Manager, QHSE Manager, Global Training Manager, Marketing Manager and Director of Account Management. His global experience spans all of the significant drilling areas including resident assignments in Houston, Brazil, West Africa, the Far East and Middle East. Mr. Coan holds a BBA from Texas A&M University and an MBA from Rice University. He is an active member of the International Association of Drilling Contractors.
